saikis powers are a vital part of him so it makes sense that people who dont know about them cant truly understand his whole self, but its also very silly to me when people act like its the ONLY important part of him... people act like his friends that arent in the know are completely blind to who saiki is, but i feel like that kinda means you missed some major points... he cant keep his powers a secret forever and it DOES matter, but he can still be loved and KNOWN without knowing about them... hes still human, he still has a personality, he still has regular likes and dislikes, etcetc

his friends perspectives on him may have been wrong at first, but they CHANGED... they know him and love him, and theyll KEEP loving him the SAME once they know of his powers...

​some people cough cough cough in this fandom like to reduce saiki to JUST his powers and its so obvious that you just. missed everything. you didnt absorb anything from the show, you just saw it and went "ha, everyone thinks hes just a guy when hes actually super cool and powerful" no no no, he IS cool and powerful but look a little closer and at his core he is still LITERALLY JUST A GUY 😭😭😭

Low key tired of going on IG and seeing all those kawaii rooms that are all pink, clean, and perfectly put together with expensive gadgets, and merch from mainstream, popular anime. "Influencer" aesthetic rooms. I want to see more "otaku" girl rooms. Shut in rooms. Rooms that look LIVED IN. Rooms that you can tell the person who owns them has severe social anxiety that has impacted their lives. Rooms that aren't completely covered in merchandise because the people who own them have little money or no money. Rooms I can actually relate to having. Ugh

To be frank, I find the introvert/extrovert discourse online insane and completely ridiculous. People will fight to the death about if a character, Elizabeth Bennet, is an introvert or an extrovert, and people: they are opposites. If I/E aren't easy to tell apart for a main character of a novel, the categories are meaningless. But then oddly, considering that no one can tell I/E apart, extroverts are also some weird totally different species from introverts.

But Elizabeth Bennet is an extrovert and checks every single extrovert box and the reasons real internet people keep giving that she isn't are bonkers:

She takes solitary walks. I have some crazy news for you, extroverts can walk. I, a certified extrovert, take solitary walks nearly every day because I have a dog, whom I adopted knowing I would take her on these walks. It's shocking I know; I don't even die of loneliness at all! Consider for a moment that Elizabeth Bennet spends all day surrounded by four sisters and a very talkative mom, not surprising she takes walks alone occasionally. You'll also notice that she does invite her sisters along most of the time.

She reads. More shocking news: extroverts can read. Some of them read a lot. You know enjoying being around other people doesn't exclude reading. In fact, in the Regency you could even read aloud as a group activity! That is something we see in the novel. And Elizabeth also puts down her book when she finds a conversation more interesting.

She processes issues internally. That is not her preference, she likes to talk it out with Jane. When she's leaving Hunsford, Elizabeth is desperate to finally talk with Jane about all the crazy stuff that has happened to her, but she is forced to conceal a good deal of it because it's about Jane. She can't discuss Darcy with the Gardiners because his proposal is a secret, but she is eager to talk about the Lydia thing and learn her uncle's opinion. Also, extroverts are fully capable of processing internally, because again, not a different species.

She has trouble talking/feels awkward after the second proposal. Who wouldn't be awkward? Do people honestly think extroverts never feel awkward??? Not even when they love a guy that they verbally destroyed a few months ago? Not even during a confession of love? We uh... do. We get awkward too. In fact, sometimes when an extrovert talks rapidly, they are trying to talk their way out of an awkward situation. I have to work myself up to making phone calls.

Anyway, it drives me totally up the wall. Elizabeth Bennet is an extrovert, she thrives around people. Both end couples, Jane & Charles and Elizabeth & Darcy, are introvert/extrovert pairings, which is fun. If you want an introverted heroine, Jane Austen wrote five of them and they are all excellent: Elinor Dashwood, Marianne Dashwood, Fanny Price, Jane Bennet, and Anne Elliot. Catherine Morland, Emma Woodhouse, and Lady Susan round out the extroverts. It's awesome that Austen had such range in heroines.

the complete mischaracterization of early season merlin (every season merlin actually 🙄) gets me so bad in fanfics bc he actually had the funniest crush of all time on arthur. he’s such a fucking loser teenage boy with a crush. like obviously there was that rivals thing that last for like not even 48 hours, but also merlins complete ranting about how arthur thinks himself so cool and smart and tough (and handsome) when MERLIN is the one who is cool and smart and tough (and handsome).

why doesn’t arthur think he’s the coolest, smartest, toughest, (most handsome) man ever? how could he be so blind? gaius, let me tell you about all the times I was the coolest, smartest, toughest, (most handsome) man ever like when I saved arthur’s life 4 times this week. see, arthur really should just acknowledge how superior I am to him in every way (and swoon at my feet).

It’s so fucking FUNNY. he’s so immature. like im actually convinced that merlin used to fantasize about revealing his magic to arthur in some grand, over dramatic sacrifice, and the main point of the fantasy was arthur crying over merlin’s dead (preferably injured but thinking he’s dead) body and lamenting how stupid he was for never realizing how awesome (and good-looking) merlin was, and could merlin forgive him? gaius is looking at this boy daydreaming like bsffr rn

I'm a bit disillusioned with the academic setting I'm in. I thought I would find like-minded people who also enjoy learning and literature. Yet I'm stuck doing all the homework because none in my group will help me, and they still get the grade because we are not allowed to work on our own. Furthermore I struggle socially, so having to find a new group because this one doesn't work is so unfair.

"Ew people lol" but then go to school, have perfect attendance, have perfect grades, talk to every single student and their mom, talk to every single teacher and their mom, befriend every single teacher and every single student, have alot of boyfriends/girlfriends, always in the middle of drama, get scholarships, care about their future, bla bla. I'm sorry Jessica don't you have a screentime limit? Shouldn't you be doing more exciting things like proving yourself to your teacher or something?

Why is it so hard for most to understand that introverted people exist and that those prefer NOT to go to family events and such, that those people do NOT want to be invited to go somewhere where there is people??

Why is it always causing a sort of drama whenever an introverted human being does not want to go somewhere, do something? Please leave me alone. Dont make me feel bad for not wanting to.

Sometimes I wish I did not know anyone except my fiancé, or that we lived too far away to be invited to anything. Just a peaceful life without all that guilt and drama after saying "no, thank you".
